Hello Sparky

A little known fact about Radar Maker is that we build stuff. It’s true!

In fact, we built this very site (we only mention it because a few people have asked us who did it this week… US US US).

We also launched a new site for Spark this week at http://www.sparkthemusic.co.uk.

The concept? Spark is amazing. Young and creative. Her name is SPARK for goodness sake.
So we thought we’d make a site were she could highlight anything amazing she comes across, right now it’s the video for ‘Revolving’, next week it could be a remix or a playlist or a photo. Y’know, the usual… but it’s all about the now.

Go have a look won’t you… there’s a picture below, but frankly it just looks like a video on a picture. Because that’s what it is FOR THE MOMENT.

The Streets on The Guardian

So last week, we launched this:

And this week, The Guardian wrote stuff about it which you can read by clicking THESE VERY WORDS or quoted handily below:

The Streets’ Mike Skinner is another rapper who has long seemed to grasp the power of the internet to push his artistic wares. But, having established himself as a prolific blogger and Twitter user, Skinner vanished from the web this time last year. Finally, after a gap of exactly 365 days, he posted a tweet last week alerting fans to his newly updated site, the-streets.co.uk. As well as some new blogs and a countdown to a date in February (presumably the release of what Skinner has long said will be the final Streets album), he has resumed his Casting Down Your Pod podcast series. The typically entertaining new episode sees Skinner and his sidekick Ted Mayhem chewing the comical cud amid music by Underworld, Clare Maguire and Magnetic Man. Skinner has even taken to posting witty video replies to the messages people send him on Twitter. It’s good to have him back.

Please do check out Casting Down Your Pod 1001 where Skinner and Mayhem discuss the terrifying concept of sexy Halloween costumes.

So we sent out Lykke Li’s new song ‘Get Some’ on Monday. Everyone seemed to like it. In fact we lost count of how many people have hearted / posted / tweeted / facebooked the thing, but it was a lot. She’s been at the top of HypeMachine since then. Music-listening public, we salute you!
